Newly hired engineers are entered into a Joint Engineering Training Team (JETT) Engineering Scientist Development Program (ESDP) designed to develop engineers and scientists from entry level to a full performance level position. Located on North Carolina's Crystal Coast, Fleet Readiness Center East provides engineering support for a variety of aircraft, engines, and components. Fleet Readiness Center East's mission is to provide unsurpassed quality products and services to the fleet. For 6 decades, Fleet Readiness Center East has provided depot maintenance, engineering and logistics support on a variety of aircraft, engines, and components and is the only source of repair within the continental United States for many jet engines and rotary wing engines, as well as turbofan vectored thrust engines. The depot has a work force of more than 4,000 civilian, military and contractor personnel, and it is North Carolina's largest industrial employer east of Interstate 95.
